Regarding Teddy Kgb

I have been thinking about this matter all day Monday (I had some computer trouble or I would have posted this earlier last night) and I realized that Doug is essentially using his posting name to force me to take action against Teddy. Something I have always found unfair.

Teddy and I exchanged emails during the last several hours (I could only get back to him a while a go) and he does feel bad about the entire episode as do I, so bottom line I am going to forget the "I did something bad" thread ever happened Sunday night and have already invited Teddy to post again. He is unbanned but I can't make him post, time will tell if he decides to come back.

I know most of you could careless about my problems but this job comes with constant pressure to make decisions on issues that many times will cause one poster to be unhappy or seemingly punished for the sake of keeping another one happy. I don't care who you are, King Soloman himself could not keep everyone here at The Rx happy all at once for any amount of time.

Teddy I am sorry I missed that you were joking yesterday morning, sometime it is hard to tell who is joking and who is not, I woke up at 3AM local time and read the thread and simply figured you actually did use your friends account etc..

Anyway, welcome back Teddy KGB.


Regarding Doug, I am sorry he is gone, there really was no need for him to leave but that is his perrogative. I wish him all the best and the door is always open should he feel differently in the future. I know I will now get criticism for causing Doug to leave The Rx. but I will live with it.

To all of you other Rubber Room posters who became upset over this I apologise to you for not thinking this matter through any further than I did. I had to make a call and I did, that is why I get paid.

I hope this puts an end to the matter.

I love ya Wil, but are you saying that you've made this same mistake, what is it 7 or 8 times now? Just like in wagering, your 1st inclination is usually the right one. And to lose Doug over it is really a mistake IMO!

I actually thought of you when I wrote the above post and knew you might post something. The simple fact is I really cannot win in this situation. Of course I am sorry to see Doug leave but there is not a thing I can do to stop him. Banning Teddy is not the answer. Posters come and go, I am head moderator almost 4 years and have been thru dozens of these no win situations. All I can do it let the situation sort itself out.

The Rubber Room is only here to allow posters to have some fun or settle grudges, no one wants to see the site lose veteran posters over what was really a needless argument.

I am really impressed with you at this moment, Wil. It did get out of hand and I understood your reaction to a degree. It also provided an opportunity to clarify some of the rules that some of us hadn't heard before.

I have a feeling that Teddy will make an effort to invite Doug back, since he is a guy who contributes to the forum, especially with his handicapping skills.

I think posters kids are off limits and any remarks made about a child should be an auto ban for life...you have to tolerate the rest to an extent

One thing i will say about Teddy, he has been loyal to this board...more than I can say for many people here
